Uwe Schneider drafts a wide variety of contracts for his clients, such as those for IT outsourcing or the licensing of software. Here, he represents his clients’ interests in the drafting of general terms and conditions, also in the B2C area, in the negotiation of individual contracts in (also international) B2B business, and in legal disputes, if necessary in court.
Uwe Schneider also focuses on compliance requirements for IT use, especially but not only with regard to data protection. Here, he advises on the legally compliant design of IT architectures and business processes such as those for licensing management. If required, he also prepares legal opinions. In addition, he supports his clients in communicating with authorities such as the data protection supervisory authorities.
Uwe Schneider has many years of experience in legal issues relating to the use of networked IT in healthcare (e-health). He supports providers of health IT as well as their users, be they medical service providers, research institutions, or payers, for example with regard to the use of treatment data, telemedically integrated care models and health apps.
Uwe Schneider has been working as an (external) data protection officer since 2001. Before that, he studied law at the University of Tübingen, where he also completed his doctorate on cross-institutional electronic patient files while working.
