He combines his many years of experience in one of the largest IT corporations in the world, most recently as head of the legal department of IBM Germany, as an attorney in the IT law firm Bartsch und Partner, and from international activities with applied science, which he teaches as a full professor of business law at the HTWG Konstanz since 2012. His research focuses on legal conditions of digitalization, negotiation theory, data law, technical concepts in data protection, legal tech and the risk management of companies with the help of legal instruments.
Marc Strittmatter is a member of the German Institution of Arbitration, for which he also handles as a judge in arbitration proceedings. He was selected by Handelsblatt as one of the “Best Lawyers” in the field of information technology law for the years 2014 – 2024 and as Lawyer of the Year for 2017.
